Broadcast Video: The Pursuit of Flight

Fort Worth is home to one of our nation’s most visited flight museums, the CR Smith Museum. Originally built for the employees of American Airlines, the museum is now open to the public.

CRM Studios was asked to produce broadcast videos to be shown in the museum’s special venue theatre. The videos tell the story of American Airlines’ early days with a nod to the thrill of flight.

American Airlines History

There was a very famous pilot who once flew mail for the Robertson Aircraft Company, circa mid-1920’s. Robertson later merged with several other start-up air carriers which eventually formed what we know today as American Airlines.

That famous pilot was none other than Charles Lindberg, aka “Lucky Lindy.”

Just how lucky was Lindy? In the 9 months he flew mail for the U.S. Mail Service he had to bail out to safety two different times. Yes, Lucky Lindy was indeed very lucky.
